  • About Your Role:
  • As an
  • Environmental, Health & Safety Compliance Specialist
  • at Dollar Tree's corporate office, you'll support the development and implementation of regulatory compliance programs that help ensure safe and compliant operations across our nationwide store portfolio.
You'll collaborate with stores, regulatory agencies, and cross-functional business partners to address compliance matters, monitor trends, and drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental health programs. Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Regulatory Compliance Management:
  • + Review, track, and follow up on regulatory compliance inspections and findings + Ensure timely responses to regulatory agencies and provide required certifications of abatement for identified deficiencies + Serve as a point of contact with inspectors and regulatory agencies regarding compliance issues + Monitor compliance activities and maintain documentation required to support regulatory obligations + Identify emerging compliance challenges and communicate impacts to Store Operations and leadership teams •
Compliance Programs & Reporting:
  • + Maintain databases and reporting tools used to track compliance inspections, corrective actions, penalties, and savings + Analyze compliance trends and identify opportunities to strengthen programs and reduce risk + Generate regular reports for Store Operations regarding inspection activity, compliance performance, and trending concerns + Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term compliance strategies + Monitor regulatory changes and assist in updating policies, procedures, and programs accordingly •
Safety & Operational Support:
  • + Partner with Store Operations, Facilities, and Property Management teams to resolve compliance and safety-related issues + Provide guidance and support to stores regarding established compliance policies and procedures + Conduct and support audits, including backroom camera audits, to evaluate compliance and identify opportunities for improvement + Review and update safety and health training materials to align with company standards and regulatory requirements + Partner with Store Operations to develop, update, and implement safety and health policies •
Project Support & Continuous Improvement:
  • + Assist with special projects related to store safety, environmental health, and compliance initiatives + Support oversight of governance, risk, and compliance management platforms, such as NAVEX + Participate in initiatives designed to improve compliance effectiveness, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency + Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to improve compliance outcomes and reduce risk •
Your Required Skills and Experience:
  • + 1-3 years of experience in Safety, Regulatory Compliance, Environmental Health, Business, or a related field + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail + Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders + Experience analyzing data, trends, and compliance-related information + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint + Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities •
Preferred Requirements:
  • + OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification + Project Management certification + Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience + Experience with environmental, health, safety, or compliance management programs + Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance software platforms, such as NAVEX + Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices

  • Start Rate = $55,000 - $62,000 based on experience and 10% bonus
