Safety Specialist-Roanoke, VA Company Description Excel Staffing is a leading staffing service provider supporting diverse industries including Oil and Gas, Petro-Chemical, Construction, C-Suite, Human Resources, Project management, software/IT, finance and accounting, Hospitality and Events, Warehouse and Logistics, among others. We are rapidly expanding and we are prepared to partner with our clients' staffing needs. For any staffing requirements, whether long-term, short-term, or permanent, payroll or project based, Excel Staffing is ready to assist. Role Description Safety Specialist -Roanoke, VA 12 month construction of a Data Center/ logistics center, Provide onsite support Mon-Fri 8 hours a day / 40 hours a week beginning in end of July This is a 1099 contract $50-$55 hourly($500 Per Diem is available for those outside of a 75 mile radius) per diem is paid at $100 per day. No work, no pay or per diem Candidate 5-7 years of safety experience. High Voltage experience preferred Must be personable because you will be the eyes and ears on site of the GC for safety Ability to fill out paperwork daily and timesheets weekly and should be technology savvy to do so Must have at minimum OSHA 30 Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Technical Degree in H&S Management, Engineering, or Specialty area (i.e. Industrial Hygiene, Construction); or three (3) years in H&S management role(s). Minimum of three (3) years of experience in industrial, civil, or technology-related construction sector(s). [In lieu of possession of a Bachelor's or Advanced Technical Degree, candidates MUST possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience implementing a H&S management role(s) in an industrial, civil, or technology-related construction sector(s).] Fluency in the local language, as well as proficiency in the English language (native or secondary). In-depth knowledge of H&S standards and regulations for the identified country/region. Competency in occupational H&S management systems (i.e.
