Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Safety & Health Officer to champion safety and occupational health standards across construction sites. In this vital role, you will oversee compliance with safety regulations, implement risk management strategies, and foster a culture of safety excellence. Your expertise will ensure that all construction activities adhere to industry standards, safeguarding personnel and project integrity from start to finish. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead safety initiatives on dynamic construction projects, promoting a secure environment for all team members and stakeholders. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety plans aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and ANSI (American National Standards Institute) guidelines. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Ensure compliance with construction regulatory requirements, including NEC (National Electrical Code), OSHA regulations, and local building codes. Lead incident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and coordinate with relevant authorities on workers' compensation claims. Provide occupational health expertise by managing exposure controls, ergonomic assessments, and health monitoring programs for workers. Facilitate safety training sessions for site personnel on topics such as hazard communication, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and emergency procedures. Maintain comprehensive safety documentation, records of inspections, incident reports, and compliance management logs to support continuous improvement efforts. Skills Strong knowledge of risk management principles within construction environments. Expertise in occupational health practices tailored to construction site needs. Familiarity with NEC standards, ANSI standards, OSHA regulations, and construction management software tools. Proven experience in construction management and site supervision roles with a focus on safety compliance. Ability to conduct thorough hazard assessments and implement effective control measures. Excellent communication skills for training teams and liaising with regulatory agencies. Demonstrated capability in compliance management and maintaining rigorous safety documentation.
