Home Meat Service is a local, family owned and operated business since 1960. Located in Shelton, near the Little Creek Casino, Home Meat Service provides Custom Cutting and Wrapping of meat for local ranchers and hunters, as well as selling meat in a retail setting. Home Meat Service is committed to connecting our community with high quality and local product. Home Meat Service is currently looking to hire a Sanitation Specialist. We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic about food safety and proper sanitation-with pride in their maintained area. This position would be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the meat room and all relevant processing equipment. This involves washing, rinsing, sanitizing, mopping, dusting, bleaching, etc. This position requires attention to detail, good organization skills, ability to multitask, good time management, and commitment to creating a sanitary space to process meat.
Requirements:
  • Work varied hours between 2:00 pm and 8:00pm Monday through Friday and occasional Saturday's
  • Maintain a friendly, positive attitude, and maintain composure with customers and co-workers
  • Read and follow written or verbal work assignments and instructions
  • Communicate (hearing and speech) with team members
  • Stand, reach, twist, bend, and turn frequently for long periods of time
  • Ability to reach, lift, and maneuver objects of varying dimensions frequently between 20-50 lbs.
  • Push and pull loaded carts
  • Perform safe and efficient movements related to cleaning and sanitation
  • Perform primary duties with efficiency and accuracy
  • Ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals on a regular basis
  • Knowledge about cleaning and sanitizing in a food processing environment Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of all designated areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Utilize industrial cleaning equipment and supplies to maintain cleanliness in food processing and manufacturing environments. Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within scheduled shifts. Assist in heavy lifting and moving of materials as needed, while adhering to safety protocols. Document cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues to supervisors.
