Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Dog Kennel Cleaning & Sanitation Specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our furry guests. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation within our pet care facility, creating a healthy space for dogs to rest, play, and thrive. Your efforts directly contribute to the well-being of animals and the satisfaction of pet owners, making this position both rewarding and essential. Days and Hours Required -
Tues & Wed :
8:30am-12:30pm Responsibilities - Deep clean and thoroughly scrub dog kennels and suite rooms Sweep and mop kennel areas, suite rooms, and common areas Clean and sanitize surfaces Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards Help keep animal areas organized, safe, and odor-controlled Follow proper procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and disinfectants Complete other basic cleaning and facility-maintenance duties as needed Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of kennels, suite rooms and some common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Ensure all surfaces are disinfected regularly to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a hygienic environment. Skills - Basic cleaning skills and attention to detail Physically capable of bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, scrubbing, and occasionally working in awkward positions Comfortable performing repetitive physical cleaning tasks Able to safely handle cleaning chemicals and disinfectants Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently Comfortable working around dogs of different sizes and temperaments (although, no physical contact with the animals will be required) Willing to work in an environment that can occasionally be physically demanding, wet and dirty. Previous experience in a kennel, veterinary, or animal-care environment is a plus, but not required—we will train all new hires!
