This pivotal role involves overseeing all security operations, implementing proactive measures, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in security management, law enforcement, or military experience, combined with excellent leadership and communication skills. Candidate must have open availability for incident response, call offs, field officer assistance, routine site visits, etc. Candidate must have reliable transportation. Candidate must be relative or willing to commute to the Columbus, OH area with or without accommodations. Candidate must be OPOTA certified to carry a firearm while in commission of performing work duties and/or willing and able to obtain one upon hire. Candidate must be willing to perform field work (billable hours) on a weekly basis, though most of the duties will be performed in an office setting. (30-40% field, 60-70% office.) Duties Develop and execute comprehensive security strategies to protect company assets and personnel across all sites. Supervise security staff, providing training on conflict management, surveillance techniques, report writing, and emergency response procedures. Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders during incidents or investigations. Conduct regular patrols, CCTV surveillance reviews, and site inspections to identify vulnerabilities and ensure safety protocols are followed. Manage incident reporting processes meticulously, documenting events accurately and thoroughly. Lead crisis management efforts by implementing first aid and CPR procedures when necessary to ensure swift response during emergencies. Oversee access control systems and manage visitor screening processes to maintain a secure environment. Conduct interviews in collaboration with HR/Hiring Department. Conduct site visits to ensure operational efficiency and receive client feedback. Conduct site walk throughs in collaboration with Sales Department for potential client start ups. Train and develop Account Managers, Field Supervisors, Site Supervisors, and other members of field leadership. Create and develop post orders for client locations. Requirements Proven experience in security operations management, law enforcement, military service, or related fields. At least 7 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience. At least 5 years of management experience in any fast-paced work setting. At least 3 years of security operations managerial/supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, conflict management techniques, and report writing standards. Certifications in first aid, CPR, and conflict resolution are highly desirable. Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and decisiveness. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate security personnel effectively. Familiarity with legal regulations related to security operations in various jurisdictions. Exceptional communication skills for coordinating with clients, emergency responders and internal teams.
