Four hours per scheduled meeting Job Description First Choice Security Guard & Patrol Services is seeking an experienced armed security officer to provide security for municipal board meetings in Calabasas. This position requires a professional appearance, sound judgment, strong communication skills, and documented specialized training in active shooter response and emergency casualty care. This is a supplemental assignment offering approximately eight hours per month. Candidates must meet the required qualifications and provide supporting documentation before assignment. Schedule Approximately two meetings per month during the first and third weeks of the month . Meetings generally take place on Monday or Tuesday, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM .

First scheduled shift:

Tuesday, October 6, 2026 . Specific meeting dates will be confirmed in advance. A third meeting or additional coverage may occasionally be requested. Four-hour minimum paid per scheduled meeting. Responsibilities Maintain a visible, professional armed security presence. Monitor meeting-room access and identify potential safety concerns. Interact courteously with board members, staff, and the public. Address disruptive behavior using sound judgment and de-escalation techniques. Respond to emergencies within the scope of training, company procedures, and applicable law. Assist with evacuation and coordinate with responding law enforcement and emergency medical personnel. Provide emergency first aid within the scope of current training. Prepare accurate incident reports and promptly communicate concerns to management. Required Qualifications Valid California BSIS Guard Card. Valid California BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit with the appropriate duty-firearm caliber qualification. Documented Special Response Team (SRT) training addressing active shooter incidents. Current Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) certification. Documented quarterly firearms qualifications and ability to maintain that schedule. Supporting training records and credentials available for verification before assignment. Strong situational awareness, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality. Availability beginning October 6, 2026, and for the ongoing meeting schedule. Preferred Qualifications Relevant law enforcement, military, protective security, or government-facility security experience. Current CPR/AED and first aid certifications. Experience providing security at public meetings or similar settings.
