Retail Store Security Officer - Unarmed We prioritize the safety and well-being of our customers and employees. As a security officer you'll play a crucial role in ensuring a secure and enjoyable shopping environment for everyone who walks through our doors. We are looking for dedicated individuals who are committed to upholding our standards of safety and customer service. As a retail security officer your primary responsibility is to maintain a safe and secure shopping environment. You will be responsible for the following tasks: 1.

Access control:

Monitor and control access to the store ensuring only authorized personnel and customers enter. 2.

Customer Assistance:

Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers answering questions and offering guidance when needed. 3.

Surveillance:

maintaining a constant presence on the sales floor using CCTV cameras to monitor suspicious activity, shoplifting, or any other security concerns 4.

Prevent theft:

Actively deter theft and shoplifting by patrolling the store observing customer behavior and implementing security measures 5.

Emergency Response:

Respond promptly to any security incident, accident, or emergencies within the store. Follow established procedures and protocols for handling such situations 6.

Report Writing:

document all security related incidents including thefts accidents and disturbances prepared detailed Daily Activity / Incident reports as necessary 7.

Collaboration:

Work closely with store management team and local law enforcement when needed to address security issues 8.

Asset Protection:

Help safeguard store assets by ensuring the proper handling of merchandise and monitoring inventory discrepancies.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 3 years prior work experience
• Valid / current BSIS security guard license
• Strong observational skill and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations
• Aptitude for critical incident handling
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Additional Qualifications (Preferred):
• CPR/First Aid
• Foreign language proficiency
• Impeccable character/integrity
• Small unit leadership or supervisory experience
