Armed Security Officer - Folsom We are seeking a professional Armed Security Officer to provide uniformed security services, protect people and property, and maintain a safe and secure environment in accordance with California BSIS regulations. This position requires a valid California BSIS Guard Card and an Armed Security Officer Firearm Permit. Officers must be able to work in dynamic environments, respond to incidents calmly and appropriately, and uphold strict professional standards. Position Summary The Armed Security Officer is responsible for observing and reporting security-related incidents, controlling access to assigned areas, deterring unlawful activity, and responding to emergencies as needed. This role requires sound judgment, strong communication skills, and adherence to all applicable state laws and company policies. Key Responsibilities Provide armed uniformed security presence at assigned post(s) Monitor and patrol assigned property, including foot patrols Control access to facilities, verify credentials, and manage entry points Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations appropriately Write accurate and timely incident and daily activity reports De-escalate situations using approved conflict management techniques Enforce site-specific rules and regulations while remaining professional and courteous Communicate clearly with supervisors, clients, law enforcement, and emergency services when required Maintain firearm safety and comply with all BSIS regulations and company use-of-force policies Minimum Requirements Valid California BSIS Guard Card Valid BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit Completion of required firearms qualification and ongoing requalification as required by BSIS Legal eligibility to work in the United States Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.

• Reliable transportation & valid driver's license Ability to remain alert and on-duty for extended shifts (as scheduled) Preferred Qualifications Two years armed security experience Strong report writing and observation skills Experience with access control systems, radios, or security monitoring tools Customer service experience in a professional environment Work Schedule This role include standing posts and patrol duties. Shifts are Mondays through Fridays, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with every other week scheduled Monday through Thursday, and holidays based on operational needs.
