Job Description

Patrol Security Officer - San Clemente The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of customers, employees, and property within the retail shopping center. This role involves monitoring the premises, responding to incidents, and enforcing security protocols to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol Duties:
Conduct regular patrols of the shopping center, including interior and exterior areas via golf cart Monitor entrances, exits, and parking lots for suspicious activity. Ensure that all areas are secure and free from potential hazards Operate and monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras. Report any unusual activity or security breaches to the appropriate authorities.
Incident Response:
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, such as medical emergencies, fires, or disturbances. Provide first aid or assistance to injured individuals until medical personnel arrive. Prepare and maintain detailed incident reports for any occurrences during the shift.
Policy Enforcement:
Enforce shopping center policies, rules, and regulations. Address and resolve conflicts or disturbances in a professional manner.
Requirements:
Security Training and Certification:
Possession of a valid security guard license and any additional certifications as required by local regulations.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods, conducting patrols, and responding swiftly during emergencies.
Excellent Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with individuals from diverse backgrounds and the ability to de-escalate tense situations. Attention to

Keen observation skills and the ability to identify and report potential security risks, suspicious activities, or policy violations.
Integrity and Professionalism:

Availability:
Willingness to work in shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as security services often require 24/7 coverage.
