Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Santa Clarita, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related situations with professionalism. PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at government facilities. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed. Monitor access points and screen or direct visitors in accordance with site procedures, maintaining awareness of authorized access requirements. Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures; complete required activity and incident reports.
Minimum Requirements:
At least one year of security-related experience is required. Possess a valid armed guard card or license. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Handcuffing certification is preferred. Baton certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
