Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Property Monitoring in Whittier, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for shoppers, visitors, and staff while reporting concerns and assisting with security-related needs. PM What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, common areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor for unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards; report observations promptly according to site procedures. Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed. Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while supporting a professional, welcoming environment for shoppers and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred. Possess a Guard Card or license, preferred. Have customer service experience, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
