CORE JOB FUNCTIONS 1.
Notifies local police department when backup is necessary. 2. Inspects building, equipment, and access points. 3. Permits entry of allowed personnel after verifying identity. 4. Informs violators of policy and procedures and restrains trespassers. 5. Controls traffic by directing drivers. 6. Checks surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts. 7. Submits reports of surveillance activity and unusual occurrences. 8. Secures all exits, doors, and windows after end of operations. 9. Investigates people for suspicious activity or possessions. 10. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license
Certification and Licensing:
Refer to department description for applicable certification requirements
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required

Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
Teamwork:
Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
Technical Proficiency:
Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
