- You dedicate yourself to the mission Key Responsibilities Report to assigned client sites across the portfolio based on operational need, which may include specialized assignments Deter criminal activity and misconduct at each assigned post Respond to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies such as fire, injuries, or the presence of unauthorized persons by contacting police, fire departments, and/or local emergency response teams Make periodic patrols to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons Prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports for each site worked Operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, navigate security software systems or applications, and use email Demonstrate strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and appearance across varied assignments Manage multiple tasks, execute radio and telephone communications, and perform in a high-pressure environment Maintain reasonable availability for shift offers based on operational needs Perform other duties as determined by the security supervisor Qualifications Applicants must meet one or any reasonable combination of the following: Two years of customer service experience One year of security experience Law enforcement experience Corrections experience Military experience Requirements Valid FL Security D License Valid FL Driver's License High school diploma or equivalent Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test Technology skills: operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a medium to high pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands Familiarity with report writing Excellent surveillance and observation skills Above-average written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public Willingness and ability to work across multiple client sites and shifts based on operational need Ability to maintain reasonable availability for shift offers Trained in CPR and First Aid preferred Compensation & Benefits $21.
