An Armed Security Officer provides security for property at hospitals, hotels, warehouses or office buildings. Have a license to carry a weapon ranging from a club to a firearm. Monitors entrances and patrols buildings, watches for intruders or vandals; reports building maintenance problems; deals with customers or visitors that create a disturbance in the building.

Approximately 20.5 hours per week Position Overview Refuge Services Group Inc. is seeking professional, dependable, and customer-service-oriented Armed Security Officers for our DeLand location. Exceptional customer service is a key requirement for employment. Candidates must be available for the posted schedule and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing superior safety and security services that meet or exceed industry standards. Our mission is to provide clients with the peace of mind needed to operate safely and efficiently. Primary Responsibilities Monitor security cameras, surveillance equipment, and alarm systems. Provide immediate assistance to clients or business owners during emergencies. Complete detailed and accurate daily activity reports and incident reports using company-approved mobile applications and technology. Follow all site instructions, post orders, and company procedures. Arrive on time, fulfill all scheduling commitments, and comply with company dress and appearance standards. Interact professionally and courteously with clients, visitors, employees, and team members. Promptly report client or property concerns to the Advanced Patrol Officer and/or Branch Patrol Supervisor. Properly maintain company-issued equipment, including radios, keys, uniforms, and assigned devices. Meet quality-control standards and performance expectations established by the Branch Patrol Supervisor. Professionally de-escalate conflicts through effective communication. Respond appropriately to alarms, suspicious activity, theft, vandalism, trespassing, workplace disturbances, and other security-related incidents. Conduct vehicle and pedestrian screening, inspections, and verification in accordance with site procedures. Perform additional security-related duties as assigned by Refuge Services Group Inc. Qualifications Valid Florida Class D and Class G Security Licenses required. Must own a personal firearm that is suitable and legally authorized for duty use. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Prior military or law enforcement experience is preferred. Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening. Professional demeanor and appearance at all times. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Dependable, alert, adaptable, and team-oriented. Strong communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills. Ability to efficiently use a smartphone and app-based reporting technology.
