In the serene setting of Islamorada, Cheeca Lodge & Spa is looking for a vigilant and reliable Security Officer. This role is vital for maintaining the security and well-being of our property, guests, and team members, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Enforce the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and ensure staff compliance. Maintain accurate logs of security activities, calls, deliveries, and guest assistance. Regular patrols of the property to ensure its security. Knowledgeable in repairing locks, safes, and elevators on the property. Manage security protocols for lost keys, property theft, and incident reporting. Handle evening deliveries and ensure their proper distribution. Provide a welcoming presence to guests, offering assistance as a valet and guiding them as needed. Uphold guest confidentiality and follow correct procedures for guest room entry. Promptly assist guests with their requests and ensure follow-up. Effectively handle security-related guest interactions and report incidents. Assist with training staff on the Emergency Action Plan and Safety Program.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED. At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license. Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and resolve concerns tactfully. [Preferred] Experience in a security position, computer skills, and bilingual in Spanish and English.
