We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security & Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the installation, maintenance, and repair of security & fire alarm systems. Knowledge of intrusion/burglary, cctv, access control, fire alarm and low-voltage systems a plus. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and customer service skills to ensure the safety and satisfaction of our clients. Duties Install, maintain, and repair security & fire allarm systems Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings to ensure accurate installation. Conduct construction inspections to verify compliance with safety standards and regulations. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation and repair tasks. Layout fire alarm systems to specifications while adhering to industry standards and

NFPA /NEC

codes. Troubleshoot issues with existing systems, including sensors and low voltage components. Provide field service support to clients, ensuring the timely resolution of any technical issues Maintain detailed records of service performed and materials used for each job. Skills Blueprint reading and system design abilities. Some mechanical knowledge related to alarm systems and construction practices. Ability to work with various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of electrical systems in relation to alarm technology. Previous experience as a service technician is highly desirable. Installation of conduit Understanding of fire alarm commissioning processes and customer engagement techniques. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred 2+ years of experience with fire alarm and/or security systems Knowledge of NFPA codes and relevant local regulations Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Valid driver's license with a clean driving record NICET certification is a plus
