This part-time, 9-month position (August-May) plays a key role in delivering safe, reliable, and friendly service to our campus community. Drivers work 20-27 hours per week on rotating shifts between 4:45 AM and 12:30 AM, supporting operations 7 days a week. They also may be asked to be on-call or support overtime driving. As a vital part of our team, you'll be the face of the university for many students, faculty, and visitors—providing exceptional service with every ride. This essential position requires a CDL Class A or B with passenger endorsement and at least one year of experience operating passenger buses (16+ capacity). The position is considered essential personnel and must report for emergency preparedness or response.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport passengers across campus and surrounding areas.
• Deliver excellent customer service as a visible ambassador of the university.
• Use efficient computer skills for clerical tasks, email communication, and fleet reporting.
• Collaborate with team members and departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Fuel, clean, and perform routine maintenance checks on assigned and shared vehicles.
• Maintain accurate logs and submit documentation through digital platforms.
• Report to work during emergencies or special events as an essential employee.
• Compliance with traffic and safety regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner
• Ability to react to changing conditions in route format, weather, or general driving conditions.
• Subject to DOT drug/alcohol testing and physical exam.
• All other duties as assigned.
