In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, controlling access points, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. Your proactive approach and keen observation skills will contribute to maintaining a safe, compliant, and welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches. Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, and vendors. Observe surveillance footage to identify potential security threats or unusual behavior. Respond promptly to incidents, including emergencies or disturbances, following established protocols. Write detailed incident reports documenting any security-related events or concerns accurately and thoroughly. Perform background checks on new personnel as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security standards. Assist in emergency response procedures such as first aid administration, AED operation, fire safety protocols, and conflict de-escalation when necessary. Maintain physical security through proper manual handling and heavy lifting when required during patrols or equipment management. Enforce security regulations in accordance with company policies and legal requirements while providing excellent customer service to visitors and staff. Experience Prior experience in security roles, military service, law enforcement or related fields is highly advantageous. Familiarity with surveillance technology, access control systems, and incident report writing is preferred. Training in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, Taser use, and fire safety is desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. Knowledge of emergency response procedures and conflict management techniques is essential. Strong understanding of physical security practices, compliance with security regulations, and performing background checks are important assets.
