Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Access Control Officer to join our team on a Friday through Sunday schedule, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. In this role, you will be responsible for managing entry points, monitoring security systems, and ensuring the safety of personnel and property. Your energetic approach will help maintain a secure environment through diligent surveillance, incident management, and customer service excellence. Responsibilities Authorize and verify access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors using access control systems Conduct thorough background checks and perform identity verification procedures Monitor CCTV surveillance footage to identify suspicious activity or security breaches Respond promptly to emergencies by following established emergency response procedures Write detailed incident reports for any security-related events or violations Perform patrolling duties across designated areas to ensure physical security and compliance with regulations Assist in performing manual handling tasks and heavy lifting when necessary during security operations Skills Extensive knowledge of surveillance techniques and access control systems Experience in law enforcement or military service is advantageous Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols Skilled in conflict de-escalation, conflict management, and customer service interactions Ability to handle firearm and Taser equipment responsibly and safely Familiarity with incident report writing and compliance with security regulations Capable of performing heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as required in a security setting Join us at Ramco Protective where your vigilance makes a difference!
