Job Description
Position Overview Armed Security Officers provide protective services at a high‑consequence federal research facility. Officers are responsible for access control, patrol operations, incident response, and enforcement of federal conduct standards and post orders. This role requires exceptional professionalism, reliability, and strict adherence to all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Officers must maintain firearms qualifications, meet medical and physical standards, and uphold the integrity expected in a federal environment. Key Duties & Responsibilities Control access at Entry Control Points (ECPs); screen visitors, employees, and vehicles Conduct fixed‑post operations and roving patrols (interior and exterior) Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; apply de‑escalation techniques and first aid as trained Maintain clear, professional radio communications; follow the Emergency Communications Plan Prepare accurate, factual incident and activity reports in English Carry, maintain, and operate contractor‑issued firearms and less‑lethal equipment in accordance with contract requirements Enforce federal facility rules, post orders, and safety protocols Support supervisors and federal partners during drills, emergencies, and operational activities To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
