Job Description
Seaside Residential Security Officer General Responsibilities It is the responsibility of the Seaside Security Officers to effectively patrol the Residential Areas of Seaside, through the use of preventative patrol and active enforcement of town rules and regulations. Seaside Security will provide protection, assistance, information and miscellaneous services to the homeowners and guests of Seaside. The common goal is to maintain a sense of safety and security in Seaside. To accomplish this goal, Seaside Security must form a relationship of cooperation and communication with the homeowners, guests and employees of Seaside, working to preserve order, promote safety and security, enforce the rules and regulations, deter misconduct and safeguard the assets of Seaside. The residents of Seaside Town Council hold their security department to a very high standard. Officers are expected to be well groomed in appearance, on time and conduct themselves with the highest level of professionalism. The duties include but are not limited to: Responding to emergency calls, utility breakdowns, (e.g., water leaks, electrical power outages.), fires, safety violations or hazards, accidents, loitering or trespassing, security related deficiencies, (e.g. unsecured cottages, alarms, inadequate or inoperative lighting, etc), theft or other property crimes, violent crimes against persons, intoxicated persons, soliciting or peddling and disturbances or demonstrations, enforcement of parking rules, enforce golf cart rules, patrol of the beach pavilions, and residential area, event assistance and generating incident reports for significant events that have occurred on the property requiring documentation. Requirements Security officers must be able to work the assigned shifts that include day, evening and night shift, weekends and holidays. High School Diploma or equivalent Class "D" Security License Valid Driver's License Must pass a drug screening and background check Provide references for the last 5 years Employment experience for the last 5 years Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing Perform duties in a professional manner Exhibit good judgment in performance of duties Ability to walk, and/or stand for repeated prolonged periods
