Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security at our facilities. This position requires a proactive approach to conflict management, surveillance, and loss prevention while ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations. The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for protecting property, personnel, and assets through effective monitoring and response strategies. Duties Monitor premises through CCTV and other surveillance systems to detect suspicious activities or unauthorized access. Respond to alarms and incidents promptly, assessing situations and taking appropriate action to ensure safety. Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure the security of the environment. Manage conflicts effectively by employing de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution strategies. Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary, ensuring the well-being of individuals on-site. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required, providing detailed reports of incidents as needed. Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping purposes. Participate in ongoing training related to security protocols, loss prevention techniques, and emergency response procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in security or law enforcement is preferred. Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable. Strong understanding of conflict management techniques. Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance operations. Knowledge of loss prevention strategies within a security context. Ability to remain calm under pressure while making quick decisions. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. Must possess a valid armed security license as per state regulations. Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as part of the hiring process.
