Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Armed School Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our students, premises, and personnel. This is a long-term position working in Davenport for a second-chance school association.

Responsibilities:

• Positively involved in the lives of students & Children, showing care and compassion.
• Conduct surveillance of the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to emergencies, and provide first aid, CPR, or other necessary assistance as required.
• Enforce laws on the property and assist in law enforcement investigations when necessary.
• Monitor CCTV systems and alarms to identify potential security risks.
• Handle conflicts or disturbances with a calm and professional demeanor.
• Utilize militaristic training to protect property against potential threats.

Qualifications:

• Current Military (National Guard/Reserve) or Ex Military | MUST be a Combat MOS].
• Ability to tolerate, encourage, develop relationships with, and protect students, children, and school employees.
• Proficient in conflict management techniques.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance equipment.
• Familiarity with First Aid and CPR procedures.
