Veteran Security Services (VSS) is seeking dependable, professional Security Officers to provide security services at a healthcare facility. This position requires strong customer-service skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to remain professional while interacting with patients, visitors, employees, and members of the public. Primary Responsibilities Maintain a professional security presence throughout the facility. Monitor entrances, exits, and designated access points. Assist with controlling visitor and after-hours access in accordance with facility policies. Conduct scheduled interior and exterior security patrols. Identify and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, unsecured areas, and unusual conditions. Respond to disturbances, security concerns, and requests for assistance from facility staff. Assist with de-escalating situations involving patients, visitors, or other individuals when appropriate. Observe and document incidents accurately and professionally. Complete Daily Activity Reports and incident reports as required. Monitor designated parking, loading, and exterior areas. Immediately communicate significant incidents or concerns to the appropriate supervisor or facility representative. Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable privacy and facility requirements. Remain alert and at the assigned post unless conducting authorized security duties. Provide professional customer service while maintaining appropriate security standards. Minimum Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be able to pass all required background and pre-employment screening. Must be dependable and able to report for scheduled shifts consistently and on time. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable working in a healthcare environment and interacting with individuals who may be upset, emotional, or experiencing stressful situations. Must be able to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods. Must be able to write clear and detailed reports. Must maintain a professional appearance and follow all VSS uniform and grooming standards. Preferred Qualifications Previous security, military, law enforcement, corrections, healthcare, or customer-service experience. Experience working in a hospital, medical facility, or similar environment. Experience with de-escalation and conflict resolution.
