Unarmed Security Officer

Job Summary:

The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for protecting people, property, and assets by maintaining a safe and secure environment. The officer patrols assigned areas, responds to incidents, and enforces company policies while providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Patrol buildings, parking lots, and assigned areas on foot or by vehicle. Control access to facilities by. Respond to emergencies, disturbances, accidents, and suspicious activity. Complete detailed incident, accident, and daily activity reports. Conduct security inspections and identify potential safety hazards. Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining professionalism. Provide assistance to employees, customers, visitors, and emergency responders. De-escalate conflicts using effective communication and conflict resolution techniques. Contact law enforcement, fire, or medical personnel when necessary. Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver's license (if required by the position). Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred, but not required. Skills Strong observation and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication Conflict resolution and de-escalation Professional customer service Sound judgment and decision-making Ability to remain calm under pressure Report writing and documentation Basic computer proficiency Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods. Patrol indoor and outdoor areas in various weather conditions. Lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds, as needed. Bend, climb stairs, kneel, and occasionally run in emergency situations. Maintain alertness throughout the work shift.
