What You\'ll Do As a Security Officer, you will help ensure the safety and security of our students, staff, visitors, and facilities by: Conducting routine foot and vehicle patrols throughout campus. Monitoring campus activity and responding to safety concerns, suspicious behavior, and emergencies. Enforcing campus policies, procedures, and security regulations fairly and professionally. Performing security inspections of buildings, grounds, and facilities. Assisting staff with conflict resolution and responding to disturbances when necessary. Conducting preliminary investigations and documenting incidents accurately. Controlling parking and traffic flow on campus. Enforcing student pass and visitor access procedures. Providing escort services for students, staff, and visitors as needed. Building positive relationships with students while promoting a safe and respectful campus culture. Responding calmly and effectively during emergencies and critical incidents. Performing other duties as assigned to support campus operations. What We\'re Looking For We\'re looking for individuals who are: Professional, dependable, and committed to safety. Excellent communicators with strong customer service skills. Calm under pressure and able to make sound decisions. Skilled at conflict resolution and de-escalation. Team players who work well with diverse populations. Comfortable working with young adults, including students with special needs. Detail-oriented with strong observation and report-writing skills. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other basic computer applications. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Six (6) months of experience in security, law enforcement, military, corrections, public safety, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response, and crowd management. Experience working in an educational or residential setting is a plus. Licenses & Certifications Valid driver\'s license with an acceptable driving record required. Ability to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver\'s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement within three (3) months of hire. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Patrol indoor and outdoor areas in varying weather conditions. Bend, kneel, stoop, and reach as needed. Lift and carry light objects. Operate computers, radios, and other communication equipment.
