Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our premises, ensure the safety of all personnel and visitors, and uphold the highest standards of security compliance. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting patrols, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance and effective incident management. Duties Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure continuous site security. Control access to the facility using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security breaches or hazards, including performing physical security checks and manual handling tasks. Respond swiftly to emergency situations by executing established procedures such as fire drills, medical incidents, or security breaches; operate AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and perform first aid or CPR as needed. Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities; communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary. Perform background checks on new employees or visitors when required to ensure compliance with security regulations. Manage conflict de-escalation techniques during disputes or disturbances while maintaining professionalism and safety for all parties involved. Experience Prior experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in surveillance techniques using CCTV systems and familiarity with access control technologies. Knowledge of emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when required for equipment or supplies management. Strong skills in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity; experience in conflict management and conflict de-escalation strategies. Familiarity with security regulations and compliance standards relevant to physical security operations. Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with staff, visitors, or law enforcement personnel.
