In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises through surveillance systems, conducting patrols, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. Your proactive approach will help prevent incidents, assist visitors and staff, and uphold the safety standards that keep our community protected. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your security expertise in a professional setting while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity, hazards, or security breaches using CCTV surveillance and physical inspections. Control access points using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of visitors, contractors, and staff. Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established emergency response procedures, including administering first aid or CPR when necessary. Write detailed incident reports documenting any security-related events, disturbances, or safety hazards encountered during shifts. Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors as part of the access control process to ensure safety compliance. Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully and maintain a secure environment. Operate security equipment such as CCTV cameras, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), Taser (if authorized), and fire alarm systems to support physical security measures. Requirements Proven experience in security or law enforcement roles with knowledge of surveillance techniques and physical security practices. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and maintaining situational awareness during patrols. Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with emergency response procedures. Strong understanding of security regulations, compliance standards, and incident report writing protocols. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals. Knowledge of CCTV systems, access control systems, fire safety equipment, and conflict management strategies. Prior experience in military or security-related fields is a plus but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
