What You'll Do As an Armed Security Officer, you'll help maintain a safe and secure environment by: Maintain a professional and visible armed security presence Protect people, property, and assigned facilities Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols Monitor entrances, exits, and controlled access points Identify and report security risks and suspicious activity Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs Follow established security procedures and post orders Preserve evidence and secure incident scenes when necessary Provide professional customer service while maintaining security awareness Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have: High School Diploma or GED At least 2 years of qualifying experience in one or more of the following: Sworn law enforcement Military service involving firearms training Active Concealed Pistol License (CPL) certification Valid armed security licensing as required by applicable state or local regulations Current CPR and First Aid certification Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to successfully complete all required background and pre-employment screenings Physical & Schedule Requirements Candidates must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Lift up to 50 pounds Climb stairs, bend, kneel, and squat as required Respond promptly during emergency situations Work assigned schedules, which may include evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, and overtime based on operational needs Build Your Career with Inter-Con Founded in 1973, Inter-Con Security Systems is a leading U.S.-owned security company with more than 35,000 security professionals worldwide.
