• a full-service acute care hospital in Farmington as well as a rural emergency hospital in Bonne Terre.

Parkland Health Center provides quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services to the people of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri. In addition, Parkland's Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient and medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics and emergency services, along with a wide variety of outpatient services including oncology services, an infusion center, a wound care clinic, and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center. Bonne Terre is a Rural Emergency Hospital providing emergency services and outpatient services including medical observation, lab, radiology, and sleep study. The Security department provides support for maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, guests, and staff on a 24 hour basis. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Armed Security Officer provides continuous patrols of the medical center, while being attentive and alert to the safety and welfare of visitors, patients, volunteers, staff, employees and hospital property. Responsibilities Individuals must be 21 years or older to work in this position. Responds to emergency situations according to approved, established Security Department protocol. Ensures equipment issued and used during the execution of duties is properly maintained. Provides continuous security patrols of all areas of the medical center. Mitigates crisis situations such as code responses, responding to disturbances, fires and disaster drills and situations. Ensures proper documentation is completed on all patrol vehicles. Responsible for documenting incident reports. Minimum Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED Experience
