Mississippi Gulf Coast Position Overview Defense Professionals Security Group is seeking experienced, professional Armed Security Officers to support client assignments throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Our Armed Security Officers serve in a variety of professional security environments and are responsible for protecting people, property, and client operations while maintaining a professional and service-oriented presence.

Internal DPSG Classification:

Field Agent This opportunity is ideal for experienced security professionals and individuals with prior law enforcement, military, corrections, or protective-services experience who are looking to continue developing within the security and protection industry. Responsibilities Armed Security Officers may be responsible for: Maintaining a visible and professional security presence at assigned client locations Conducting routine patrols and security checks Monitoring facilities, access points, and surrounding areas for suspicious or unsafe activity Responding appropriately to security incidents, disturbances, alarms, and emergencies Using communication and de-escalation skills to manage conflicts when appropriate Coordinating with supervisors, emergency services, and law enforcement when necessary Completing accurate and detailed incident and activity reports Enforcing client site rules, access-control procedures, and security protocols Providing professional assistance to clients, employees, guests, and visitors Maintaining readiness throughout the assigned shift

Qualifications Required:

At least 3 years of armed security or comparable professional experience Ability to legally perform armed security duties in Mississippi Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work evening and overnight assignments Ability to travel to client locations throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast Strong written and verbal communication skills Professional appearance and conduct Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during stressful situations

Preferred Experience:

Prior law enforcement Military service Corrections Executive or close protection Armed private security Public safety or emergency response CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. Additional requirements may apply based on client assignment. Schedule We are currently seeking applicants with strong Thursday through Sunday evening and overnight availability .
