Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Patrolman, where you will play a vital role in maintaining safety, security, and order within our community. As a Patrolman, you will be responsible for patrolling designated areas using various types of vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations, and responding promptly to incidents or emergencies. Your proactive presence and vigilant observation will help create a secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff alike. This position offers an engaging opportunity to serve the public while developing your skills in vehicle operation and safety protocols. Applicant may be required to work alone. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas using standard passenger cars, pickup trucks, or specialized vehicles such as golf carts or mobile units to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards. Respond swiftly to emergency calls or incidents, providing assistance and coordinating with emergency services as needed. Enforce traffic laws and regulations by issuing citations or warnings when violations occur, ensuring smooth flow of traffic and pedestrian safety. Document all patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately through reports or digital logging systems utilizing mobile devices. Engage with the community by providing directions, information, and assistance to promote positive interactions and trust. Operate fleet GPS tracking systems to ensure efficient routing and accountability during patrols. Skills Proficient in GPS navigation and route planning for efficient patrol coverage. Experience operating various vehicles including standard passenger cars, pickup trucks, or vehicles that require a regular operator Driver's License. Knowledge of traffic regulations and safe driving practices in adverse weather conditions. Ability to operate mobile devices for communication and report documentation seamlessly while on patrol. Familiarity with mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance or troubleshooting minor issues. Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with the public, team members, and emergency responders.
