Overview Join our team as a Gate House Attendant and become the first line of security and customer service at our facility. In this vital role, you will oversee access control, monitor security systems, and ensure a safe environment for staff, visitors, and contractors. Duties Manage access control by verifying identities and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors using access control systems. Conduct surveillance through CCTV monitoring, patrolling the premises regularly to identify potential security risks or breaches. Perform physical security checks including manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary to secure equipment or barriers. Respond promptly to emergencies by following established procedures, including fire safety protocols, AED operation, CPR, and first aid. Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities observed during shifts. Assist law enforcement or emergency responders when required and coordinate incident management efforts effectively. Conduct background checks on visitors or vendors as part of access verification processes to ensure compliance with security regulations. Experience Prior experience in security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable, especially with surveillance systems like CCTV and access control technology. Training or certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation and conflict de-escalation is preferred. Familiarity with emergency response procedures and incident report writing is essential for maintaining safety standards. Experience working in environments requiring physical security measures such as patrolling and manual handling tasks. Knowledge of compliance with security regulations and performing background checks enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
