AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns, hazards, and unusual activity. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures. Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access when assigned, and reporting unauthorized persons or suspicious activity. Maintain a visible presence throughout the campus environment to help deter unauthorized activity and support a welcoming learning environment.
Minimum Requirements:
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
