You'll help protect our residents and property, respond when help is needed, and work alongside our team to keep WhiteStone a safe and welcoming place to call home. What You'll Do Be a Watchful Presence Make scheduled rounds throughout our buildings and grounds, keeping an eye out for anything that could impact safety or security. Help keep residents, employees, visitors, and community property safe and secure. Monitor the scheduled presence of employees and third-party contractors on campus. Respond promptly to fire alarms, resident emergency calls, and other security needs. Identify safety hazards and take appropriate action or report them to the right person. Be a Helping Hand Assist residents, families, visitors, and employees with security-related needs. Maintain clear and safe entrances and exit walkways, including helping clear snow and other obstacles when needed. Pitch in with light maintenance tasks when time allows, such as changing batteries or assisting with minor issues. Help with special security needs and unexpected situations as they arise. Be a Great Communicator Build positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers. Provide clear and professional written reports regarding incidents or situations that administration needs to know about. Follow established safety, security, emergency, and community procedures. Communicate concerns quickly and appropriately. Be Part of the WhiteStone Team Maintain a clean, professional appearance and arrive ready to go for every shift. Maintain security vehicles, equipment, tools, and supplies. Participate in training, education, quality improvement, and team initiatives. Follow all confidentiality, HIPAA, infection control, safety, and compliance requirements. Use equipment and supplies responsibly and cost-effectively. Must have or be willing to complete first responder and first aid training. One year of security experience preferred. Dependable, punctual, observant, and comfortable interacting with people. Someone who can remain calm and professional when unexpected situations arise. The Environment This is an active role where you'll spend much of your shift on the move and may work both indoors and outdoors.

You should be comfortable with:

Walking for approximately 90% of the workday. Light to moderate physical activity. Working in heat, cold, rain, and snow. Occasionally stooping and stretching. Lifting up to 50 pounds.
