In this vital role, you will manage access control, monitor security systems, and ensure the safety of all personnel and visitors. Your proactive approach will help maintain a secure environment while delivering excellent service to everyone entering the premises. Responsibilities Regulate access to the facility by verifying credentials, performing background checks, and operating access control systems. Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV cameras and other security equipment to monitor activity around the gate and perimeter. Perform physical security patrols, including fence checks and yard audits, to identify potential vulnerabilities or hazards. Respond promptly to emergencies by following established procedures, including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response protocols. Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for review and follow-up. Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to handle disputes or unruly visitors professionally and safely. Assist law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary, providing support such as incident documentation or crowd control. Skills Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and monitoring activity in real-time. Knowledge of law enforcement procedures, incident report writing, and performing background checks. Proficiency in access control systems and familiarity with security regulations and compliance standards. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when needed for equipment or supplies. Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with visitors and staff. Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is preferred; ongoing training will be provided if not already certified. Experience in physical security roles within military or law enforcement settings is advantageous for this position.
