Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Reconciliation in Totowa, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use clear communication and technology tools while working collaboratively with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

AM What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and access points to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other security-related issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision. Complete accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity documentation in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess at least two years of security-related experience. A guard card/license is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Have access control/badge experience, preferred. Have customer service experience, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
