The opportunity Delaware North Gaming is hiring a part-time Security Officer to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As a Security Guard, you will maintain a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. What will you do? Enforce gaming rules and regulations of the NYC Gaming Commission. Patrol the facilities, pedestrian and mobile patrol; provide security for special functions. Drive a motorized vehicle when needed Enforce all department, unit and company policies and procedures, including alcohol service protocols. Observe and report incidents, procedural violations and illegal activity. Fill out departmental log forms, verify all paperwork is complete and turned in at end of shift. Assist with fires, wind storms, floods, blizzards, evacuations, and other emergencies as directed. More about you Must possess a New York state Security Guard license Must have a valid driver's license, pass an MVR check, and take a drug test. Must have a High School Diploma or GED Demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations and maintain customer goodwill. Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events. Physical requirements Requires the ability to see, hear, walk, run, sit, squat, bend, reach and grasp objects throughout the shift in all weather conditions. Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds.
