Salary Range The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $17.25 to $25.89 per hour. ( Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements . ) The Impact You Can Make - Team Impact As a Safety Parking Specialist you are the frontline to safety here at Glens Falls Hospital. You play a vital role in creating a safe and organized parking environment for employees, customers, and visitors. By directing traffic, monitoring parking areas, and responding quickly to potential hazards, you will help prevent accidents and ensure the smooth flow of vehicles and pedestrians. Your vigilance and professionalism contribute to a safer facility, improved customer experience, and the overall security and efficiency of daily operations. How You Will Fulfill Your Potential ( Responsibilities) Patrol parking lots for parking violations according to Glens Falls Hospital policy. Utilize NYS DMV license plate lookup to identify violations. Document activities in excel spreadsheet daily. Document violations according to Glens Falls Hospital policy. Report on any unusual activity to Security via two-way radio. Report and investigate incidents and accidents occurring in parking lots, contact Law Enforcement when needed. Perform courier services per department policy. (bank details, court appearances, etc.) Control parking and traffic flow; enforce parking regulations; may assist in lot control for plowing and maintenance, snow removal, shoveling, clearing off vehicles etc. Respond to all requests for assistance from patients, visitors and staff. Consult with, and keep the supervisor informed of activities, needs and problems. Assist with jump starting vehicles, changing tires. Block off lots or areas with barriers per superior.
