Statewide Ohio | Travel Required About the Opportunity SpearPoint Defense Group is expanding our Ohio operational roster and seeking professional, dependable, and experienced Armed Protective Services Agents to support protective security assignments throughout the State of Ohio. We currently have full-time opportunities available while also building a larger statewide roster of qualified agents who can respond to short-term, long-term, scheduled, and emerging client needs. Assignments may range from traditional armed security to higher-level protective services and special assignments. This position is ideal for individuals who want more than a static security position and are interested in developing within a growing protective services organization. Agents may work at multiple locations and on different types of assignments based on operational needs, qualifications, availability, and performance. Position Responsibilities Responsibilities will vary based on assignment and client requirements and may include: Provide professional armed protective and security services at client locations throughout Ohio Conduct uniformed, plainclothes, and low-profile security operations as assigned Support workplace violence prevention, hostile/high-risk terminations, and employee-related security concerns Protect client personnel, facilities, property, and other designated assets Maintain a professional security presence while exercising strong situational awareness and sound judgment Identify, assess, and appropriately respond to security concerns, suspicious activity, and potential threats Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols, access control, security observation, and other protective functions Operate independently on single-agent assignments with minimal on-site supervision or integrate effectively into multi-agent teams Maintain regular communication with SpearPoint supervision and the

as required Follow post orders, operational plans, client instructions, and established company policies and procedures Properly document incidents, observations, activities, and other required information through clear and accurate reports Respond professionally to incidents and emergencies while remaining within assigned responsibilities, training, and legal authority Maintain discretion and confidentiality when working around executives, employees, clients, sensitive situations, or confidential information Maintain required licensing, firearms qualifications, equipment, uniform standards, and overall operational readiness Travel to assignments throughout Ohio and support short-notice or out-of-state deployments when available Perform additional protective-services duties as required by the specific assignment Agents may be assigned to corporate facilities, workplace violence details, hostile terminations, armed security posts, covert/plainclothes assignments, special events, temporary emergency deployments, and other protective operations based on experience, qualifications, and operational needs. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet all of the following minimum qualifications to be considered: Must be 21 years of age or older Minimum 3+ years of verifiable professional armed security, protective services, or directly relevant military/law enforcement experience Military and law enforcement experience must include duties relevant to armed security, force protection, protective operations, patrol, security, or similar responsibilities Must possess a current Ohio 20-Hour Private Security Firearms Training Certificate (OPOTA-approved) for handgun Must meet all requirements to be properly registered/licensed to perform armed private security services in Ohio Must possess a valid Concealed Carry Permit (CCW) or otherwise be legally authorized to carry concealed in Ohio Must be legally eligible to possess and carry a firearm Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current automobile insurance Must have a reliable smartphone and communication capability Must be willing and able to travel throughout Ohio; out-of-state opportunities may also arise Must be capable of operating independently as a single agent with minimal on-site supervision and effectively as part of a protective/security team Must be comfortable working in armed, plainclothes, uniformed, corporate, and other professional security environments based on assignment requirements Must demonstrate strong situational awareness, communication skills, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment Must maintain an appropriate level of physical fitness, mobility, and stamina consistent with professional armed protective services operations Must be capable of working varying schedules, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, and short-notice assignments Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all SpearPoint Defense Group pre-employment screening, onboarding, credential verification, and training requirements. All newly hired agents are subject to a 90-day probationary period Please do not apply if you do not meet the minimum requirements listed above. Preferred Background & Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with: Military or law enforcement experience Executive Protection experience or formal EP training Workplace violence or high-risk termination experience Corporate, plainclothes, or protective security experience Security leadership or supervisory experience Military, law-enforcement, and experienced Executive Protection professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.
