Students must have: at least 2 Full Semesters remaining on the Newark Campus the ability to work a minimum of 12 hours a week during fall and spring semesters a good driving record an excellent record of punctuality and attendance excellent communication skills, ability to follow directions and be able to work well in a cooperative team environment

Summary of Duties:
Student employment provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while supporting campus programs and services. Under the supervision of Campus Safety and Security staff, the student will: Support campus safety and security by conducting building and parking lot patrols, monitoring facilities for safety hazards, securing and opening campus buildings, and promoting a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Enforce parking regulations, issue citations and permits, assist with emergency response by administering first aid and operating fire extinguishing equipment as needed, and perform routine inspections of emergency equipment and lighting. Provide transportation services for faculty, staff, students, and visitors between campus locations and community sites using campus vehicles. Assist with key control, identification card issuance, and other public safety and administrative functions in support of daily campus operations. This role provides students with valuable experience in customer service, public safety, communication, and professionalism while supporting the safety and daily operations of the College.
