$22.00 per hour Position Summary The primary purpose of this position is to protect 1-800-Flowers Corp property and assets, support access control, CCTV, and dispatch systems, and maintain a safe and secure environment. Safety and Security Officers will answer all security-related phone calls and calls for service, report incidents involving company employees and assets, and monitor foot and vehicle traffic throughout the facility. Officers will also work with Human Resources and Legal to enforce all 1-800-Flowers policies and procedures. We are currently hiring Safety and Security Officers for two separate locations: Obetz, OH and Groveport, OH , with opportunities available on 1st and 2nd shifts . Shift Pay Rate:

$22.00 per hour for all available positions Your assigned location and shift will be confirmed during the hiring process. Schedule & Availability This position requires flexibility to support security coverage and peak-season business needs at your assigned facility . Associates should expect to work approximately 5-6 days per week Shifts will generally be approximately 8-9 hours per day Weekly schedules may range from approximately 40-60 hours Overtime will be required during peak periods based on business needs Weekend availability is required when scheduled Flexibility to provide additional shift coverage at your assigned facility is required Duties Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. Patrol parking lots and exterior buildings to monitor and enforce parking policies, prevent theft and vandalism, and prevent unauthorized access Patrol the interior of the building, monitoring and enforcing company policy and OSHA regulations and identifying hazards, unsafe behavior, or damage Prepare incident summaries and reports using computer programs Respond to calls for assistance from various departments throughout the company Investigate incidents against the corporation by gathering information from all appropriate sources Respond to burglary and fire alarm calls on campus while communicating with emergency services Respond to and provide medical assistance during medical emergencies and administer First Aid/CPR/AED Respond to all emergencies as instructed in the Emergency Response Plan Assist paramedics when required Perform other duties as assigned Education & ExperienceEducation High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required Experience & Qualifications Experience with de-escalation, conflict resolution, or peer resolution Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, including peers, employees, and leadership Ability to communicate detailed descriptions in written reports Successful completion of Safety Classroom Training, Mobile Elevated Work Surface certification, First Aid, AED, CPR, and blood-borne pathogens training required General familiarity with alarm panels or systems #
