Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. In this dynamic role, you will monitor access points, conduct patrols, and respond swiftly to incidents, maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and excellent customer service. Duties Monitor surveillance systems and conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access and maintain physical security. Control access points using security protocols and access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of visitors, contractors, and employees. Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents by executing established emergency response procedures, including first aid and CPR if necessary. Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities to ensure accurate record-keeping. Perform background checks on visitors or vendors when required, ensuring compliance with company policies and security regulations. Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to handle disputes or unruly individuals professionally while maintaining safety for all parties involved. Conduct routine inspections of the facility's physical security measures, including fences, doors, and surveillance equipment, ensuring proper functioning. Experience Prior experience in security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable; military background is a plus. Knowledge of surveillance technology, access control systems, and incident report writing is essential. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or supplies. Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and fire safety is preferred. Familiarity with emergency response procedures and conflict management techniques to effectively handle high-pressure situations. Experience performing background checks or screening procedures aligns with the role's requirements for maintaining a secure environment. Strong customer service skills combined with a professional demeanor to interact positively with visitors and staff while enforcing security protocols.
