Job Description
The Security role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and the complex.
Day-to-Day Role:
Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, production, efficiency and service requirements
Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations and meet the company quality standards
Follow and commit to safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Conduct regular and random patrols in and around company buildings through use of company car and/or walking
Respond to campus emergencies appropriately which may include medical incidents, fires, and evacuations
Monitor and resolve security incidents Interact professionally with employees, visitors, vendors, etc., providing assistance as necessary while maintaining security procedures and authorized access
Identify security statuses/issues/problems and provide recommendations working with team members and leadership
Use security equipment to monitor, verify security checks, investigate, etc.
Complete security reports and documentation as required
Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following: High school diploma or equivalent
Security experience such as in law enforcement, corporate security, military, fire services or related security background
Demonstrated high level of awareness, good judgment, and critical thinking skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
Ability to give attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents and spreadsheets in MS Word and MS Excel
Ability to meet safety and quality standards
Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace procedures
Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
