Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Overnight Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises during nighttime hours. Responsibilities Monitor CCTV systems and conduct regular surveillance to identify suspicious activity or security breaches Control access to the facility using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations Patrol the premises on foot or via vehicle to ensure physical security and detect potential hazards or unauthorized entry Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, following established emergency response procedures Write detailed incident reports documenting any security concerns, breaches, or accidents Perform background checks on visitors or contractors as needed to ensure compliance with security policies Manage conflict de-escalation techniques when dealing with unruly individuals or disputes while maintaining professionalism Skills Strong knowledge of surveillance equipment, CCTV operation, and access control systems Experience in law enforcement, military service, or related security fields is highly advantageous Certified in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and fire safety procedures Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting safely when required for equipment or incident response Skilled in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity Familiarity with security tools such as Tasers and firearms handling (where legally permitted) Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict management and de-escalation techniques Knowledge of emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations including heavy patrolling and CCTV monitoring Join us as an Overnight Security Officer if you are committed to creating a safe environment through vigilance, quick thinking, and professional integrity.
