Nestled on 575 acres of sandy soil and rolling hills surrounded by towering longleaf and loblolly pines, Old Barnwell is a private national club near historic Aiken, South Carolina. Founded in 2023, Old Barnwell is more than a golf club—it is a welcoming community that brings together individuals from all walks of life to celebrate the spirit of the game. We pride ourselves on offering an exceptional experience for our members and their guests, from world-class golf to comfortable and inviting lodging. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a warm, organized, and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Club Services & Security Member .
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and vigilant Club Services & Security Member to deliver exceptional hospitality while safeguarding our private golf course, clubhouse, members, and guests. This role serves as both a welcoming presence and a trusted resource—ensuring that every member and guest feels cared for, comfortable, and secure. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently during overnight shifts. A strong hospitality mindset is essential, with a natural ability to anticipate needs, offer assistance proactively, and create a warm, professional environment. From greeting late-arriving guests to assisting with member requests and maintaining a visible, reassuring presence around the property, this role plays a key part in upholding the club's service standards and overall experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide shuttle service as needed Perform member check ins Answer Phones Monitor and patrol the grounds, clubhouse, and perimeter during assigned shift Ensure all gates, doors, and buildings are secured throughout the night Respond to alarms, disturbances, or any unusual activity Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious behavior Maintain detailed logs of nightly activities and incidents Coordinate with emergency services if needed Provide courteous assistance to any staff or authorized visitors after hours Provide support with operational tasks from various departments, as time permits during the shift.
Qualifications & Skills:
Hospitality experience is preferred Prior security or law enforcement experience is a plus High school diploma or GED Must be 18 years or older Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and work in varying weather conditions Strong communication and observation skills Must pass a background check Why Join Old Barnwell?
