As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Hospital Crisis Prevention in Summerville, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

PM How This Role Works:
Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established hospital protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate site contacts.
Support a professional healthcare environment by providing directions, assisting with visitor flow, and documenting incidents in accordance with site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
Be willing to receive required hospital vaccines.
Be willing to work in a hospital morgue.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
