Part-Time / School Schedule About the Position LA James Security LLC is seeking a professional, dependable, and highly engaged Armed School Security Officer to provide security services at small private schools in Brentwood, Tennessee. This position is about more than simply standing at a post. We are looking for an officer who is visible, approachable, attentive, and engaged with students, staff, parents, and school personnel while maintaining a strong security presence. The ideal candidate understands that excellent school security combines situational awareness, professionalism, communication, and outstanding customer service . Key Responsibilities Maintain a professional and highly visible security presence throughout the school campus. Monitor entrances, exits, and school grounds. Interact professionally and courteously with students, faculty, staff, parents, and visitors. Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining appropriate security boundaries. Remain alert and engaged throughout the entire shift. Identify and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security issues. Respond appropriately to emergencies and security incidents. Follow school and company security procedures and protocols. Assist with maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for students and staff. Communicate effectively with school administrators and LA James Security management. Complete required reports and documentation accurately. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Required Qualifications

Active Tennessee Armed Security Guard License —

REQUIRED

Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid driver's license. Ability to pass company and client background requirements. Professional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Strong situational awareness and attention to detail. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to work the scheduled Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM shift. Preferred Qualifications Off-duty law enforcement officers are highly encouraged to apply. Previous school security experience. Previous law enforcement or military experience. Experience working with children, families, or educational organizations. Additional emergency response or security certifications.
