Job Description
The Lead Armed Officer - Protective Services serve as the first-line supervisors within the Protective Services Department (PSD). PSL's are the initial level of the PSD Chain of Command and are responsible for ensuring that Protective Services Officers (PSOs) perform their duties effectively, professionally, and in compliance with CRMC policies and procedures. PSL's regularly interact with administrative personnel, patients, visitors, staff, and external agencies in a professional manner. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, PSL's perform all duties required of a Protective Services Armed Officer (PSO), including but not limited to:
- Protecting CRMC premises, satellite locations, personnel, patients, visitors, and assets through proactive patrols and monitoring activities.
- Monitoring surveillance and security systems to identify and respond to potential threats or suspicious activity.
- Enforcing CRMC policies, safety regulations, and access control procedures.
- Responding promptly and appropriately to emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and requests for assistance.
- Conducting investigations into incidents, suspicious activity, or policy violations and completing detailed incident reports and documentation.
- Maintaining a high level of situational awareness, professionalism, and sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
Experience Requirements Type of Experience:
CRMC Protective Services Armed Officer or Armed Ambassador - Preferred Additional Experience Requirements Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, possess a Tennessee Armed Security Guard license, and meet one of the following qualifications:- A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a CRMC Protective Services Armed Officer or Armed Ambassador is
PREFERRED.
In lieu of CRMC Protective Services Armed Officer or Armed Ambassador experience, the following experience may be considered:- A minimum of Five (5) Years of Leadership experience in:
- Military service
- Law enforcement
- Corrections
- Armed security
- A minimum of Ten (10) years of customer service experience.
- Possess a specialized skill beneficial to CRMC Protective Services department.
